Highlights
Examples of age-friendly work in Oneida County in the transportation domain of livability include:
- A Mobility Specialist was hired to educate, update, and advocate for older adult residents on transportation resources and options.
- In partnership with the Oneida County Office for Aging and Continuing Care, 50 Forward MV provides non-emergency medical transportation to Oneida County residents using volunteer drivers.
- The Herkimer-Oneida Counties Transportation Council (HOCTC) developed a comprehensive bicycle and pedestrian trail guide for Oneida County.

Work Group
To address transportation issues of older adults in Onedia County, the Herkimer-Oneida Counties Transportation Council (HOCTC) Transportation Coordination Committee (TCC) serves as the work group for the Livable Communities of Oneida County initiative.
