Oneida County, NY, is a recognized member of the AARP Network of Age-Friendly States and Communities, an independent affiliate of the World Health Organization Network of Age-Friendly Cities and Communities.

Oneida County’s age-friendly initiative, Livable Communities of Oneida County, developed the 2021 Action Plan with input from residents from all areas of the County to determine action steps that will help our communities become more age-friendly. The 2019-2024 Progress Report details our activities through 2024. We are currently in the process of creating a new 2025-2028 Action Plan–stay tuned for updates!
